HIMN Sharing Event Volunteer

HIMN is looking for volunteers to assist out with their Saturday morning sharing events. Every Saturday morning, HIMN sends volunteers to one of several locations where migrant workers congregate to wait for odd jobs to share the Gospel with them. Typically, the preaching is handled by volunteers who are fluent in Spanish. However, we also need volunteers to hand out food and Gospel tracts, as well as to converse with the workers while they wait. These volunteers do not have to be fluent in Spanish, although some familiarity or even just an interest in the language is very welcome.

The duties of a HIMN sharing volunteer include:

  •     Attending the sharing event (Saturday from 8-9:30)

  •     Buying materials: food/drinks and Gospel tracts (usually for ~15 people, cost will be reimbursed)

  •     Conversing with migrant workers and preachers to get their feedback on the event

  •     Taking photos of the event

  •     Compiling all the information collected into a written summary to be sent to HIMN for the monthly newsletter

This is an unpaid position. To sign up to be a volunteer, please enter your contact information here:
